This Privacy Statement explains how Lipton Fleming collects, manages uses and discloses personal information that we hold about candidates and clients. 

What is Personal Information?

Collecting your personal and sensitive information

The Lipton Fleming staff may collect personal and sensitive information. 

All personal and sensitive information collected is for our own use in relation to your work placements.

As Lipton Fleming does not have control over external sites that may be linked to our web site, you are advised to view their Privacy Statement and make your judgement on the appropriateness of submitting any personal or sensitive information to those sites.

 

How your personal information is collected

Personal and sensitive information is collected from you when:

·       You submit your resume to us;

·       You complete a registration form;

·       We receive any reference about you;

·       We receive results of enquiries that we might make of your former employers, work colleagues, professional associations or registration body;

·       We receive results of any competency or medical test;

·       We receive performance feedback (whether positive or negative);

·       We receive complaints from or about you in the workplace;

·       We receive any information about a workplace accident in which you are involved;

·       We receive information about any insurance investigation, litigation, registration or professional disciplinary matter, criminal matter, inquest or inquiry in which you are involved;

·       You provide us with any additional information about you.

Our ability to place you in appropriate employment or locate suitable work may be influenced by the amount of personal information provided to us.

 

How your personal information is used.

Your personal and sensitive information is held for the purposes of:

·       Permanent recruitment and placement;

·       Contract recruitment and placement;

·       Client and business relationship management.

·       Your personal and sensitive information will be used in connection with:

·       Your actual or possible work placement;

·       Your performance appraisals;

·       Our assessment of your ongoing performance and prospects;

·       Any test assessment (including medical tests and assessments) that you might be required to undergo;

·       Our identification of your training needs;

·       Our management of any complaint, investigation or inquiry in which you are involved;

·       Any insurance claim or proposal that requires disclosure of your personal or sensitive information.

To Whom is your Personal Information Disclosed?

Your personal and sensitive information may be disclosed to:

·       Potential and actual employers and clients of Lipton Fleming;

·       Staff within Lipton Fleming who have a legitimate reason for accessing information during the discharge of their job duties;

·       Referees;

·       Our insurers;

·       A professional association or registration body that has a proper interest in the disclosure of your personal and sensitive information.

·       A Workers Compensation body;

·       Incidental disclosure to contractors and suppliers whilst they are discharging specific work for which they have been contracted by Lipton Fleming to perform. E.g. data base upgrade;

·       Any person with a lawful entitlement to obtain information.

We will obtain your permission prior to the disclosure of personal information to our clients for possible work opportunities.  

Protecting the Security of your Information

Lipton Fleming will take all reasonable steps to protect your personal and sensitive information from misuse, inappropriate or unauthorized disclosure, loss, unauthorized access and modification.

Personal information will be kept no longer than is necessary and disposed of appropriately.

You can gain access to your Information to correct it if it is wrong

Subject to some exemptions you have the right to see and have a copy of personal and sensitive information about you that we hold.

If you are able to establish that the personal or sensitive information that we hold about you is not accurate, complete and up-to-date, we will take reasonable steps to correct it so that it is accurate, complete and up-to-date.

If we are unable to agree that the personal or sensitive information we hold about you is accurate, complete and up-to-date, you may ask us to place a statement by you that claims that particular information is not accurate, complete or up-to-date.

If you wish to exercise your rights of access and correction you should contact our Privacy Officer whose details are shown above.

In some cases we may impose a moderate charge for providing access to personal or sensitive information. We will not charge you simply because you lodge a request for access.

Changes to our Privacy Policy 

Lipton Fleming reserves the right to change our Privacy Policy. If at any time our Privacy Policy changes, then the updated policy will be available for your perusal on our web site or other location deemed appropriate at the time.

Consent to the use of your Personal and Sensitive information

By submitting your CV or completing a registration form you consent to Lipton Fleming collecting, maintaining, using and disclosing personal and sensitive information about you and provided by you or another person about you in accordance with this policy.
