The role:

Lead the team: . Career development and training Performance reviews: run them, lead them and deliver them. Run meaningful weekly WIPs. Ensure a balanced workflow. Guide the managers in particular, and develop their leadership skills. Help create an enjoyable work environment with a balance of hard work, learning, development, delivery and fun.

Engage the Group Director as and when necessary: Report back on key deliverable on a weekly basis Support the GD with yearly and adhoc negotiations Have a POV on market trends and be able to articulate the effect of trending and conditions on both planning and buying.

Deliver best practice client service: Be both pro-active and re-active when required – in a retail environment, fast turnaround is key. Multitasking, juggling multiple client leads and managing expectations are key Build rapport with 5-6 key clients and establish trust, confidence. Surprise & delight where possible.

Consistently deliver flawless execution: Continuously deliver TARP, reach, quality and pricing goals. These must be inline with auditing criteria and implementational plans. Ensure all buys are of the highest quality, are delivered on brief, on time.

Track, optimise, report and deliver weekly: build and deliver this mentality amongst the team.

Build deliverable Implementational plans: . Support all planning with solid, achievable numbers and rationale documentation. Have the confidence, foresight and business knowledge to push back on the client when budget allocations are questioned. Establish relationships with key media owners: Engage key stakeholders. Build a strong relationship with GSMs and sales directors. Ensure the team is managing their media owner relationships.

Overall attributes needed: Motivation. Numerate and articulate. A leader: lead the team, the client and the media. Confidence in presenting plans, rationales, post documentation. Ability to deliver strong buying results and do so consistently. Look to deliver over and above what is required, be proactive and challenge tradition. Good communication skills: know when to engage key stakeholders. Manage expectations. Drive team morale, and build a fun, enjoyable environment amongst a motivated, skilled team.
