My client is a powerful player in the conference industry, and they have an exciting opportunity for an experienced marketing manager to join their successful team based in London.

You will already be working as a marketing marketing within the conference or exhibitions industry, within the b2b sector.

As the Marketing Manager you will be a highly motivated direct marketer who combines strong analytical skills with a commitment to creative marketing. You will have complete bottom-line responsibility for creating marketing plans for conferences that combine direct mail, Internet, email, fax, sms and integrated marketing. As marketing manager you will be responsible for forging relationships with external partners whilst also focusing on liaison with other related internal departments such as database research, sponsorship and telesales. This position will report directly to the Marketing Director for their London office.

Key Goals:
• As marketing manager, provide detailed response analysis
• Forging strategic marketing partnerships with associations, publications and research organizations
• Creating innovative marketing plans utilizing direct mail, Internet, e-mail, fax, sms
• Creating budgets
• Querying of internal databases and database build
• Writing copy for marketing letters and promotional materials
• Working closely with other internal departments such as telesales, sponsorship sales, customer service and conference production
• Working with list brokers, designers, DP houses, printers, mail houses and other vendors
• Working closely with speakers and sponsors to gain their buy in to promote our events through podcasts, webinars and webcasts
• Work closely with the IQ brand marketing managers to leverage the portals for event promotion
• PR – both online and offline
• Create social media campaigns around which to promote the events
• Design innovative campaigns to ensure KPIs are met for both paid for registrations and enquiry volumes
• As marketing manager, work closely with the Enquiries Team to ensure conversion rates are in line with company targets
