Business Development Manager - exciting Digital Marketing / New Media Research opportunity!

£30k-£40 base + £20k - £30k OTE

Location: Central London

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Business Development Manager who’s got passion for digital marketing (including social networking sites), consumer generated media & traditional market research practices.

Ideal Candidate:

• You must have deep understanding and applied knowledge of consumer-generated media, digital marketing, and/or traditional market research practices (experience with and knowledge of interactive marketing, digital media sales, market research & basic web technologies)
• You must be PASSIONATE about digital media / research (understanding of new media and social media technologies, practices, and environment)
• Proven track record of selling consultative solutions to top companies & exceptional desire to exceed targets
• Proven track record of proactive lead generation
• Experienced in planning and meeting sales quotas
• Fantastic problem-solving and leadership abilities
• Industry Knowledge: Deep knowledge and passion for existing and emerging technologies and expertise in specific markets like Financial Services & Insurance, Retail, Travel, Pharmaceuticals, Automotive, FMCG/CPG, Government, Technology, and/or NGO & non-profit organizations would be helpful
• Proven superb written and oral communication skills (proposal development, email communication, leading client seminars, and planning sessions is required
• Experience leading winning client presentations
• Degree educated / Masters or other advanced degree preferred
• Must have experience personally sourcing and closing £100k+ deals and average £25-50K+ solutions
• Capable of providing references from previous managers, peers, and customers
• Previous experience with salesforce.com or other CRM system

Main Responsibilities:

* You will be responsible for managing and developing accounts through a consultative sales approach, strategic client consultation, and account management
* You will be successfully selling solutions at the enterprise level, managing senior client relationships, and delivering consultation and insights (including social media, syndicated audience and advertiser measurement services, and analytic & custom research solutions)
