The Company:
My client is a global media company with a strong presence across a wide range of sectors, ranging from Transport to Finance. Established over twenty years ago, the company’s commercial drive has built up a strong portfolio of international brands with six worldwide offices.
The Role:
Due to company expansion, they are looking for a sales manager to sell sponsorship and exhibition space on designated events via telephone and face-to-face meetings, and to deliver highest possible overall sales performance and success of the events.
The Candidate:
Proven experience in a similar role with an understanding of the event and sponsorship landscape. Strong people skills, in particular the ability to motivate others. Results driven and customer focused.
Day to day duties will include:
• Telephone selling and face to face meetings
• Conduct local and global industry research
• Take ownership and responsibility towards revenue
• Enhance and nurture existing customer relationships
• Build an industry network
• Maximise the marketing benefits of event sponsorship
Have a strong breadth of experience within the exhibition market place.
A highly drive and self-motivated approach and a passionate and enthusiastic sales approach will be essential in engaging clients.
Key attributes are:
• Must be educated to degree level
• Articulate
• Exposure to consultative sales technique and ability to ‘concept’ sale
• Track record of booking high value deals
• Used to working in a target/deadline driven environment
