This is an outstanding opportunity to head an exciting business unit in the UK, servicing research & information needs of a luxury retail sector.
If you are a seasoned Associate Director / Director’s level quant research professional with PANEL EXPERIENCE then we would love to hear from you.
You will be managing the biggest international client names within the beauty industry (cosmetics, perfumery and make up) hence interest / experience in this sector is desired.
Our exciting client is an international & friendly research firm working with the number of exciting global blue chip names within various market sectors. Their UK operation is mainly focused on retail clients who use analysis & market information to better understand their customers, their product categories, their distribution channels and their competition.
They are now looking for an experienced Business Manager (Account Director level) with a very strong quantitative research pedigree, panel servicing experience & research agency experience (ideally continuous trackers) to head their very innovative business unit in the UK.
This unit is already extremely successful in France and at the forefront of their pan-European operations. The focus on true client service is a central component of their culture.
As this is a senior client facing role, they are seeking a confident communicator with fantastic relationship-building and presentation skills.
Main Responsibilities:
• Account management & developing relationships with new & existing clients
• Developing strategic proposals to address complex clients’ issues
• In-depth analysis of the clients’ markets/sectors/categories etc
• Designing and delivering winning presentations with actionable insights based on research findings to high level decision makers
• Organisation of resources to achieve revenue growth for the business unit you are heading including budgeting & forecasting
• Leading contract negotiations
• Managing research projects from inception to delivery including writing winning proposals; attending client meetings etc
• Business Development – identifying new business opportunities; strengthening current relationships with clients
• Strategic Input into selling strategy & business unit positioning strategy
• Working closely with Business Partners in France & Spain
• Supporting & overseeing data management issues
• People Management – managing the team of an Account Manager & a Data Analyst
• Managing external PR to develop the company’s name, expertise and reputation
Ideal Candidate:
Market research/analysis experience essential with particular focus on quantitative survey research & panel management (MUST BE AGENCY)
Alternatively we are looking for someone who’s worked in a trade organisation within the BEAUTY market
Must have a very good knowledge of either Consumer of POS panels (beauty / fashion /retail /fmcg or other market sectors)
Proven track record of account management/servicing clients
Excellent analytical skills and ability to add value / insight
Excellent presentation skills
Fantastic Excel & Powerpont skills
Understanding of a consumers / retailers / manufactures in the beauty market (cosmetics & perfumery) will be highly desirable!
Must be a natural networker & network in the professional industry events
Must have ability to work harmoniously with European teams
Current client contacts within the Beauty industry will be a distict advantage
