One of UK's largest newspaper publishers, with a portfolio of more than 500 media brands is recruiting.

This includes some 240 local and regional newspapers, five national newspapers, as well as over 100 websites. With its headquarters at in Central London, the Group employs approximately 11,000 people in centres across the UK.

The Ad Planning department provides the core display, magazine, business development and digital sales teams with their audience information and market intelligence. On a daily, weekly and monthly basis AP provides essential reporting for senior and sales management on advertising market share performance. They are the sole contact points for syndicated industry research and also manage in house research facilities: the reader panel and ad hog projects. A vacancy exists for a Senior Ad planner to join this hard working and influential team.

The Role
• To drive progression and development within the team and instil a ‘can do’ attitude
• To define and commission a battery of research initiatives to provide key insights into the our clients brands and their readership to the trade
• Manage campaign evaluations and develop a comprehensive library of case studies to demonstrate the effectiveness of advertising in their titles
• To ensure that the advertising departments, including digital, has a deep and thorough understanding of its key advertising markets and to identify trends and opportunities for commercial gain
• Understand and use digital audience currencies to develop online sales arguments
• To influence and persuade internal and external clients to new opportunities using creative arguments
• To be at the cutting edge of all planning and research activities across all media platforms
• To display a sustained and tangible contribution in terms of business development and client sales
• To be pro-active in promoting and communicating the Ad Planning resource and its research to both internal and external clients
