Our Client publishes some of UK’s best loved national newspaper titles and is looking to recruit an enthusiastic, numerate team player to join their busy Ad Planning team. Ad Planning is part of the Advertising Department and you will play a vital role in a small but close-knit team.
Our ideal candidate will demonstrate a ‘can do’ attitude in all activities relating to Advertising Planning. The role requires the ability to influence and persuade internal and external clients about new commercial opportunities using creative arguments and conceive and write compelling sales presentations using a wide variety of data sources.
Reporting to the Senior Ad Planner, responsibilities will include monitoring business performance, gathering category insight, writing sales presentations and working on bespoke research projects
You will be highly pro-active in promoting and communicating the Ad Planning resource and its research internally and externally and have a genuine interest in media and brands.
Candidate spec:
• Minimum of 1 year’s research and insight experience in a national sales medium, research agency or media agency in a similar role.
• Ideally a good level of experience with IMS/Telmar; NMR;
• Numerate with good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Presentation skills – knowledge of Powerpoint and Word
• Able to identify a good sales argument
• Attention to detail
• Good problem-solving skills
• Self management and organisation (with support)
• Flexibility
• Teamwork, co-operation & a sense of humour
