Senior Planner Buyer - Direct Response
This successful media agency is seeking a capable media planner buyer with a strong appreciation for direct response media, to expand its team due to new business wins. Working across a portfolio of exciting brands, this forward thinking media agency offers a great next step in your media career!
Key responsibilities of the role:
* You will be responsible for planning and buying effective and targeted media solutions across a portfolio of exciting brands
* Working across both offline and online media, you will be working closely with your clients to understand their business needs and taking a proactive approach to their business
* You will be responsible for understanding your clients' consumers, their marketplace and their competitors - utilising a range of industry tools
* You will be responsible for ensuring campaigns are monitored effectively, deliver effective return of investment and are optimised where possible.
* Reporting into a Senior Manager, you will be responsible for managing a junior member of the team
* You will also be responsible for working closely with media owners to ensure competitive rates are reached and added media value is gained wherever possible
* Working across a wide portfolio of brands this role will allow you the opportunity to apply your direct response skills further as well as work across brand led accounts as well
Key skills required:
* This role requires a strong appreciate of working across all formats of media (direct response and brand ideally) and a good understanding for the wider media marketplace, including online and DRTV
* You will need to have prior experience of working in a UK based Media agency to a direct response planner buyer level or equivalent to be considered for this role.
* You will need to be able to display strong media planning skills and the ability to interrogate consumer insight and target audiences
* Strong analytical skills are essential to this role
* You will need to have a confidence in negotiating rates with media owners
* You will need to have strong client servicing skills
* The ability to inspire and mentor junior members of the team
