Group Director – Fashion Retail

This is a senior opportunity for an exceptional candidate with a strong pedigree in the RETAIL sector (fashion, accessories, fragrances, homewards, textiles etc).
You will be working for a leading global provider of retail market intelligence.
The Role:
• Strategic position running a successful business unit within an award winning Retail division of a global marketing information provider
• Fill budgetary responsibility of the business
• Strategy development to ensure long-term growth
• Building relationships with retailers & brands
• Gaining coverage at conferences and media
• Staff recruitment & management
• Business Development
• Account Management & Client servicing
Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for a visionary leader with a solid track record of working within the retail business (ideally FASHION) at the senior level.
• You must be currently working at a Senior level position within retail sector
• Understanding of Point of Sale panels or Market Research is highly desirable
• Experienced team leader - a comprehensive track record of developing and managing a talented team of individuals is a MUST
• Experienced Presenter at the board level (blue chip clients)
• Great Analytical Skills - must be able to analyse market research results and present insightful conclusions to clients. In other words, must be able to tell the story from data
• Must have Strategic Focus - As the candidate will have full ownership of their own business and its direction having a strong strategic focus is essential
• Commercial Skills - Ability to identify opportunities, attract potential clients and secure on-going business.
• First class Customer Service skills - Delivery at senior level within retailing sector
• Networking - Excellent track record of building and maintaining relationships
