My client is one of the largest, well known media brands in the country and they are looking for an experienced Territory Executive to join their successful team, based in Luton.
As territory executive, you will be responsible for the setting up & consistent development of a designated Independent retail/account territory. Through the identification, acquisition and management of a mixed retail portfolio the territory executive will be targeted to deliver agreed sales and retailer/account acquisition targets from a defined geographical territory.
Job purpose
• Deliver an agreed monthly / annual sales target through the successful identification and acquisition of proactive & productive Independent & Regional multiple 3rd party retail accounts in a specific geographical territory.
• Develop effective commercial relationships with senior management in partner accounts at Owner/ Director level to ensure maximum productivity from all 3rd party partners.
• Produce quarterly and annual account plans to ensure consistent growth from the territory in line with the core growth strategy.
• Produce annual acquisition statement identifying key partners and predicted yield.
• Perform effective gap analysis to identify potential growth areas in territory.
• Demonstrate a good understanding of the retail environment in the territory to maximise selling opportunities from partner accounts.
• Undertake regular territory research to ensure all commercial opportunities are identified.
• Identify and communicate with partner reseller accounts in a structured manner.
• Maximise the growth opportunity from the existing Independent estate.
• Maximise productivity from all existing partners in territory.
• Ensure productivity requirements are understood and delivered by Independent accounts.
• Close all unproductive and uncooperative retail accounts.
• Effectively manage sales planning and administration activities.
• Regularly update territory plans and present results of activity quarterly.
• Deliver effective & prescriptive sales analysis that informs ongoing territory development.
Job Specific
• Territory management experience.
• Forecasting and territory planning experience.
• Telecoms and/or IT experience.
• Excellent record in sales delivery in target driven environment.
• Highly developed verbal & written communication.
• Effective strategist and tactician.
• Ability to influence and build productive relationships and partnerships.
• Polished negotiation and motivational techniques.
• Ability to gather and analyse business related information from which to create effective sales plans and tactics.
• Is a team player but also possesses the ability to work in isolation.
• Is computer literate and able to produce and utilise reporting systems designed to improve efficiency and productivity.
