This independent media agency is looking for an experienced media planner buyer to join their team, due to recent new business wins and internal movement. Working across a range of high profile and exciting accounts, within a fast paced environment, this is a great next step in your media career!
Key responsibilities of the role:
• You will be responsible for working closely with your clients to develop targeted and efficient media solutions across all formats of media
• You will be responsible for implementing and buying all media activity, for your accounts, except for TV and Online, which is managed by specialist teams
• Develop effective relationships with media owners to ensure competitive rates are achieved and added value is gained where applicable
• Regularly meet with your clients to present to them and update them on the marketplace, as well as post campaign analysis, media strategies and media solutions
• Work closely with external partners including creative agencies
• Assist in new business where suitable
• To mentor and manage junior members of the team where appropriate
Key skills required:
• You will need to be a capable media planner buyer to be considered for this role, ideally across all media, but this role could also suit a press planner buyer with an eagerness to broaden across all media
• A good appreciation for media planning and developing media strategy is essential to this role - the ability to work through from client brief to application of media solutions
• You will need to have strong negotiation skills
• You will need to have good account management skills
• You will need strong management skills
• You will need to be confident in developing client relationships and working closely with them to understand their business
